Basic Nanny Monthly Service
Get peace of mind and more free time so you can enjoy your boat with less hastle. Salty Boys Nanny services include a comprehensive checklist of essential routine boat care.
Our Basic Monthly Nanny package includes:
Exterior Vessel check:
Inspect dock lines, refastening as necessary.
Check canvas covers, sails, snaps, and fasteners and resecure as needed.
Check and clear out scuppers and weepholes allowing water to drain.
Check power cord for positioning, good connection, not contacting water, condition, and check breaker.
Interior Vessel Check:
Check for topside leaks.
Inspect for any moisture, mildew, or pests. Notify customer and offer solution.
Check all bilges and bilge pumps, actuating manual and automatic modes.
Check for active shore power connection.
Check battery voltage and visually inspect batteries.
Ensure battery charger is functioning.
Check all seacocks and thruhulls and inspect for leaks. We leave seacocks in your preferred position, or closed for safety.
Check any dehumidifiers or heaters for proper operation, empty as necessary.
Check refrigerator and freezer operation- functioning with no ice buildup for ON appliances, door propped open for OFF appliances.
During months with freezing temperatures, check on fresh water supply lines for and leaks or ruptures. During other months, switch on fresh water pump and check for proper operation. Leave in off position.
Mechanical:
Start and run motor for 15 minutes, once per month, checking for any leaks, squeals, and temperature.
Check oil levels.
Check coolant levels.
After running note fuel levels. Alert customer when under 1/4 tank.
Storm Watch:
One storm watch included per month with Nanny Package. Subsequent storm watch visits charged based on distance from dispatch. We respond within 72 hours!
Storm defined as a wind or severe weather occurrence. Wind in excess of 40 knots for 4 hours or longer. Snow, severe hail, excessive rain capable of overflowing dingy.
Check all dock lines and reposition as necessary.
Check all fenders, adjust as necessary. Check all canvas and covers.
Check all hatches, latches, windows, and opening components.
Check that sails are stowed.
Check for power connection.
replace lines or fenders as needed at a 15% discount off normal retail price. We always ask first!
$250/Month per vessel. Discounts for multiple vessels!

Fill propane tanks: $15.00 plus cost of propane.
Pump out Dingy: $20.00 (Included with any add on package!)
Basic Exterior Cleaning
We can come to your boat on a regular schedule and help to keep it clean and ready for use. This package only offered as an Add-on, or as a standalone service.
Add on Price per month: $3.00/foot
Cleaning package only: $240 up to 34', $3.00 per additional foot.
What's included:
Remove Shells, debris, and droppings from vessel and lines.
Run a cleaning wand through scuppers and weepholes.
Remove algae and debris from window seals, ledges, cracks and corners.
Spray off exterior of boat, scrubbing any areas of high accumulation with a soft brush and Environmentally friendly Woody brand boat soap.
Clean windows with spray away glass cleaner.
UPGRADES:
$10.00: Clean and apply Rain-ex Glass cleaner to Glass windows.
$25.00: Clean and treat Eisen glass and vinyl windows with 405 vinyl and glass protective cleaner.
$50.00: Remove sail covers and scrub, reinstall.
$25.00: pressure washing for high buildup areas- upgrade from a standard spray down.
Oil Change Service Special
$75.oo / Motor / Month (up to 4 gallons oil) 1 change per year, no monthly visit.
Once Yearly oil change single motor:

2 Hours Labor for oil change: a $240 value.

Upgrades Available:
Synthetic or synthetic blend oil- cost deterined on motor type and quantity.
Engine cleaning and degreasing
Oil sampling at more frequent intervals for follow up flagged samples.
Scope and thoroughly go over cooling systems.
Bi-Yearly maintenance not including fluid change available.
